No taxation without repre...eh...a half million people don't *really* need representation.

I'm at work, listening to Pandora and notice a plea to support the Internet Radio Equality Act. I encourage anyone living in a State, to please check out Save the Radio and contact your Senator, and Rep. in the House and show them your support of this act.

I'd do it, but you see, I live in the District of Columbia. We aren't a State. We are over a half million people, citizens (so they say) of the Unitied States of America, but we have no voting representation at all in Congress, zero, nada, zilch. The citizens of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have as much say in the House of Representatives and Senate as I do.

We are subject to all Federal Laws, including tax laws, and we pay a higher than average tax per capita... though we are completely unrepresented in the making and setting of these laws and taxes.

While DC Vote is working hard to get us this right, the other Citizens of the United States of America (you know... the ones who have voting representation) should be embarased. We invade countries, bomb cities, spin Trillions of dollars, and even lay down our lives to bring "Democracy" to other parts of the world. Yet. Here I am, a few blocks away from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and when I go to The Senate Website to find someone to express my concerns with, I'm presented with a blank page.

Eh... what does it matter right? It's not as if anyone has died over trying to get the right for representation in their government.

Oh, Wait.
