Almost makes me believe in karma.

Watching the Tonight show I was enlightened about an event that, while tragic in more ways than one, made me want to be believe in karma.

Someone out in New Mexico found a mouse in his house… and like most Americans, wanted to get rid of this “pest”. But instead of executing the critter in some sort of more instant way (thus a questionably more humane way) , he decided to attempt to burn the mouse alive, by tossing it into a leaf pile he was burning.

Not enjoying it’s toss into the inferno of the leaf pile the mouse, now on fire itself, raced to the safety of it’s mousy home… The House.

Blazing mouse sets fire to house

Some of you, at least those of you who know me, could guess at the outcome of this with out reading the article. For those of you with short attention spans… the house burned to the ground. While the owner of the house may think this is a tragic lost of memories and personal belongings… I can’t help but think…

You know what? May be you shouldn’t have thrown a living creature into a fire.
