Ahh.... It's that time of year again...

...I hate this holiday.

Never, during the rest of the year are people this shallow... "oh, peace on earth, good will towards man" they cry... They look down on anyone who doesn't agree, Grinch...Scrooge...they call. They look at you as if you've molested the baby seal you've just clubbed to death.

As they piously speed to the malls in their SUVs (Stupid Useless Vehicles) doing their "patriotic" duty. Buying crap as gifts like somehow buying things will make everyone love each other. I asked several people what their thoughts would be about not buying presents for people. I might have just as well had a second head pop out of my forehead for the looks I got.

Of course there are those people who do speak out about how it's not the gift, but the thought. Then why have the gift at all? People of course justify the gift...with nonsense like..."because we can."

So each year people have millions of excess cash lying around that they like to blow on a holiday which they claim isn't about the gift...but they can't be bothered to pay more to schools, or donate to charities?

Just because you can...doesn't mean you should...
